Felted! Knitted! Planted!

The TrendSPY was at the “creativeworld” fair on the prowl for new ideas
I was hunting the latest trends recently at the CreativeWorld fair, and came across some that were so creative and fun, I had to share them with everyone.

Felted!

Felt is making a comeback! No longer a material limited to handicrafts, it’s now being used in almost every area of urban living: from personal and professional to storage and decoration. Check out these stores for felt bags, phone holders, seat cushions and more.

Knitted!
This knitted seat cover was a real find. It gives your favorite chair a new look, transforming it into a hip designer item. There are no limits to colors and patterns, only that of your knitting know-how. But if you’re not as handy with needles and yarn, you can buy handmade crocheted covers (stool included) from designer Ingrid Jansen, of Wood & Wool Stool.

Planted!
The idea: real plants grow in your apartment, but hang like a picture on the wall. Even in the smallest apartment, you can grow plants and flowers in the flowerbox. A special moss grows inside, which helps keep plants moist. Just hang the box on the wall, and water your plants once a week!

For those looking for overall trend themes, there were three featured at the exhibition:
Serene Simplicity
. The focus of this trend is high-quality design. Classic, minimalist and precise.
Charming Souvenir
, a fresh style reminiscent of the 50s. Not retro, but a contemporary interpretation of colors and patterns.
Boldly Fusion
is where high-tech meets handicraft, batik meets rubber, folklore meets modernity – anything goes.
